Dry ice,is the solid form of carbon dioxide Carbon dioxide gas turns to dry ice when the temperature drops to -110° F. ... When dry ice is warmed above -110° F, it changes from solid dry ice straight back to carbon dioxide gas. Since it never passes through the liquid phase, it's called dry ice

Hii...

When CO2 is kept under high pressure and lower temperature it converts into its solid form known as dry ice .

Dry ice is called so as it never passes through liquid state ,it is directly a conversion of gas to solid .
