Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide gas is subjected to pressure and cooled down to form liquid carbon dioxide. The pressure is then reduced, due to this some of the liquid carbon dioxide vapourizes causing sudden dip in temperature of the remaining liquid carbon dioxide. The sudden dip in  temperature results in extreme cold which causes the liquid carbon dioxide to become solid or frozen carbon dioxide.

Dry ice is simply solid form of CO2.When CO2 is in liquid state some of CO2 vaporizes.Because of this, temperature of liquid falls very rapidly making a solid hard cold snow called as dry ice which is very very cold and dangerous if touched for a long time without any protection gloves.

Fun Fact: Put some of dry ice in water and then see magic or to fool your friends put some dry ice in a ballon and seal it's end and put that ballon below a tap of water and then it will start increasing try if possible.

Hope this will help you.pls pls follow me if possible.
