Dihybrid Inheritance : Dihybrid inheritance is a inheritance from two different lines/genes that differ in two observed traits.

Law of Independent Assortment : When there are two pairs of characters, the distribution of the alleles of one character into the gametes is independent of the distribution of the alleles of the other character

In a dihybrid cross made by Mendel, it was observed that when two pairs of traits are characteristics were considered; each crate expressed itself independent of the Other Thus, Mendel was able to propose the law of independent assortment which says about independent Inheritance of traits. He performed the experiment in which he took two different traits like tall and dwarf plants and round and wrinkled seeds in second (f2) generations, some plants were tall with round seeds and some were dwarf wrinkled seeds there would also be dwarf plant having round seeds. Thus, the tall/short traits and round wrinkle seed traits are independently inherited.
