As we roll down the carpet the Gravitational force attract the carpet to the down from the inclined plane as we apply force on it. And the rolling Friction became too less then the force applied and less from the gravitational force itself.

And the rolling friction act in different direction as of Gravitational force and force applied. So, we require less force.

And whereas when we drag the carpet on the inclined plane. Gravitational force opposes the direction of the force applied. And also the gravitational force as well rolling force will be opposite in direction of force applied. So, we have to apply more force.

So, it is easier to rolling down a carpet from inclined plane then to drag carpet on it.
