Succession as progressive modification in Associate in nursing ecological community . Ecological successions are that the gradual method by which ecosystems is being modified and develops over time. Nothing remains equivalent and habitats are perpetually dynamical.

There are 2 main types of succession, primary and secondary.

Primary succession is that the series of community changes that occur on a completely new surroundings that has ne'er been settled before. for instance, a recently quarried rock face or sand dunes.

Secondary succession is that the series of community changes that occur on a antecedent settled, however disturbed or broken surroundings. for instance, when felling trees during a timber, land clearance or a fireplace.
