The whole community of living organisms living together, interacting together and influencing each others life makes up the ecosystem.

Humans consume plants and animals for food or for other purposes, they consume more and in an irregular fashion in comparison to returning back.Hence cause extinction of plants and animals. Also they are polluting way too much and their activities are becoming a reason for many living organisms death and extinction. So due to this reason human beings influence the ecology of a region.

Answer:

All plants and animals in an area are interdependent and interrelated to each other and their dependence on the environment is called an ecosystem. Human beings influence the ecology of a region in the following ways:

(i) They utilise the vegetation and wildlife.

(ii) The greed of human beings leads to overutilisation of these resources.

(iii) They cut trees and kill animals, thereby creating an ecological imbalance.

(iv) As a result, some of the plants and animals have reached on the verge of extinction.
