The principle of the electric motor is based on the fact that a current carrying conductor produces a magnetic field around it. A current carrying conductor placed perpendicular to magnetic field experiences a force.

Answer:

an electric motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Every motor has a shaft or spindle which rotates continuously when current is passed into it.

Explanation:

principle of an electric motor is- an electric motor utilizes the magnetic effect of current. A motormotor works on the principle that when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it a force acts on the coil which rotates it continuously.

construction of an electric motor

an electric motor consists of a rectangular coil ABCD of insulated copper wire which is mounted between the curved poles of a horseshoe type permanent magnet I am in such a way that it can rotate freely between the poles and and as on a shaft. The sides ab and CD of the coil are kept perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field between the poles of the magnet. thisthis is done so that the maximum magnetic force is exerted on the current carrying sides ab and CD of the coil. A device which receives the direction of the current through a circuit is called a commutator or split ring. the function of commutator ring is to reverse the direction of the current flowing through the coil every time the coil just passes the vertical position during a revolution.

only this much.
