an element is a substance that cannot be split into simpler substance by chemical method. elem.ent combine in different ways to form everything around us. There are 18 elements known till date, of which 94 found in nature. the rest have been made by scientist in laboratory.

aluminium ,calcium, carbon ,chlorine copper ,gold ,hydrogen, iron, lead, magnesium, Mercury ,nitrogen, Oxygen sulphur ,sodium, silver ,phosphorus, zinc are at some example of elements.
