Answer:

Energy is that entity in nature which is responsible for motion. Naturally if there is to be motion there needs to be something to be in motion. That is called mass. Mass cannot be in motion without having energy, yet energy can be in motion without mass, as light or heat. In fact light exists, and moves entirely without mass. Professor Einstein discovered and proved that energy and mass are interchangeable, and that mass has energy even without motion. So mass and energy are forever intertwined, and never completely separated. Mass comes in lumps, and when in the form of light, energy also has lumps, called quanta, but never mass. There are many subdivisions of both mass and energy, but the two are always hand in hand. Friends to the end.

In physics, energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object. Energy is a conserved quantity; the law of conservation of energy states that energy can be converted in form, but not created or destroyed.
