A hectare of jute plants consumes about 15 tonnes of carbon dioxide and releases 11 tonnes of oxygen which is really good for environment.
Jute does not pollutes the environment because it is naturally formed and it can be used in the place of polythene bags.
Hope this helps....

few environmental benefits of jute are;
1-cleansing the air Studies have shown that, one hectare of jute plants can absorb up to 15 tons of carbon dioxide and release 11 tons of oxygen during the jute growing season (about 100 days) which is very good for our environment and planet.
2-can leave more land for cultivating food crops as it needs very less space to grow and has a good yield so it can make space for food crops.
3-it needs very less Fertilizer, Herbicides, Pesticides as compared to other plants
4-good for other crops when jute crops are rotated with other crops it reduces the productivity of the other crop and reduces the risk of attracting pests and disease
