Hey dear!!!

Evolution is the process by which different kinds of living organisms are believed to have developed from earlier forms during the history of earth.
The reasons for evolution is stated in the accepted those of Natural Selection by Charles Darwin in his book The Origin of Species.
According to the theory of Natural Selection, the nature selects those organisms which are more suitably adapted and possess more favourable variations.
So, the main reason for evolution is the slight changes that occur in the genetic material of the organisms during DNA replication, which are known as Variations.

Natural selection will only cause evolution if there is enough genetic variation in a population. Before the discovery of Mendelian genetics, one common hypothesis was blending inheritance. But with blending inheritance, genetic variance would be rapidly lost, making evolution by natural selection implausible
