what is evolution theory

Since ages humans believed that god created everything (even I believe that) , but Charles Darwin postulated that all the animals were same at the start , that is everyone come from a common ancestor and all species evolved from one another.

To prove his hypothesis he travelled far and wide collecting evidences.
His evidences were fossils , vestigious organs , homologous and analogous organs.
