Federalism is system in which there is a clear cut separation of power between the Central,State and Local Governments(Panchayati Raj). The Indian Constitution also has separated three bodies that govern the country. They are:-
1.The Union Legislative
2.The Union Executive
3.The Judiciary
The powers of these 3 bodies are divided and to ensure that there is no partiality, the 3 bodies keep a check on each other. The powers of each of them is also mentioned in the Constitution. These 3 bodies form the federal structure of our country i.e; India can be called a Democratic Federal Republic.
