Loud noise can certainly hamper your sleeping pattern and may lead to irritation and uncomfortable situations like sleeping disorders.High decibel noise can put trouble and may not allow two people to communicate freely. Any unwanted sound that our ears have not been built to filter can cause problems within the body. Blood pressure levels, cardio-vascular disease and stress related heart problems also rises because of noise pollution.

We know that noise unwanted, unpleasant, irritating and loud sound. Too much noise in the surrounding is harmful and leads to noise pollution. Sound produced by the moving vehicles and their horns, various devices like vacuum cleaners, drilling machines and machines used in industries are some of the major sources of noise pollution. Sound of very high intensity level is much louder. Our ears cannot tolerate such loud sound. Intensity level of sound is expressed in decibels (dB). Any sound of intensity level higher than 120 dB is very loud and can cause pain in the ear.
Effects in human health :-
◇ Long exposure to noise can reduce your concentration and can cause restlessness.
◇ Exposure to high noise level may lead to sleep disturbance and discomfort.
◇ Sudden exposure to very high level noises may lead to temporary or even permanent hearing disability.
◇ Noise pollution leads to increased heartbeat, construction of blood vessels and dilation of pupil.
