Federalism is the mixed or compound mode of government. It's 4 key features are :

  1. Two or More levels of Government
  2. Courts have the power to interpret the constitution
  3. The fundamental provisions of the constitution cannot be unlaterly changed by one level of government
  4. The jurisdictions of the respective levels of tiers of government are specified in the constitution.
