We know that the water is 3cm down the cylindrical tank hence when the iron ball is dropped the water came out by also crossing the volume of 3 cm along with 3003cu.cm of water.

There volume of empty Cylinder tank =pi×r^2×h

=3.14×196×3

=1848.

Therefore ...the volume of iron ball = the volume of empty tank + the volume of water came out= 1848+3003=4851cu.cm

Therefore volume of iron ball=4/3×pi×r^3

4851 =4/3×22/7×r^3

4851×3×7/4×22= r^3

1157.625 = r^3

Therefore r= 10.5 cm
