Our ancestors were hunters and fruits gatherers. They ate crude meat and ripe fruits.

One of the inconvenient of eating crude flesh is that it took a huge amount of energy to digest thus making them too tired to continue theirs activities.

Crude flesh also carried parasites infecting the eaters and making them sick unavailable for a certain period and unable to defend themselves in case of attack by animals.

Fire was discovered by accident by a spark between soles that inflamed the surrounding environment.

Then man learned to manage it by starting it and stopping it.

He used it first to warm him against freezing environment. The idea of roasting meat was also discovered by accident when man found that a piece of meat fallen on burning woods was easier to digest then came cooking and boiling in water.
