The word "fitful" has been rendered. By using  "fitful" John refreshes a literary adjective by narrating the wind as more alive.

Anyway, by being fruitful that is full of fits and starts.

Similarly, as his eye looks favorable, the double land his ear prefers the double for the shake of the guest even if it means a disagreement between noun and verb.
