The Fleming's Left hand rule is as follows
Stretch the thumb forefinger and the middle finger of your left hand such that they're mutually perpendicular to each other.
if the forefinger indicates the direction of magnetic field and the middle finger indicates the direction of the flowing current then the thumb indicates the direction of the force exerted on the conductor.

u think u r holding the current as ur thumb should be in the direction of flow of current. if the flow of current is downwards the direction of the magnetic field produced will be clockwise and vise versa!
