1) Food security: Food security is a measure of the availability of food and individuals' accessibility to it, where accessibility includes affordability.

2) it's dimensions:
a) Availability, the food should be available to every one.

b) Accessability, the food should be in reach of every person..

c) Affordability, the food should be at the price that every person can afford to pay for the food.

3) Food security in India:

Food security is required to ensure that each individual of a country has access to safe and healthy food at all times of the year. During a natural disaster,the rates of food rise (due to shortage of food).food security ensures that foodgrains are distributed at cheap rates to the poor, so that they do not starve.
