A forest fire is an uncontrolled fire occurring in nature. Sometimes, the forest fire is so large that it takes a long time for the fire fighting crews to gain control over the situation. This could result in massive destruction.
CAUSES OF FOREST FIRENatural causes- Many forest fires start from natural causes such as lightning which set trees on fire. ... Man made causes- Fire is caused when a source of fire like naked flame, cigarette or bidi, electric spark or any source of ignition comes into contact with inflammable material.Forest Fire Prevention

Burn only natural vegetation or untreated wood products. Burn piles are at least 50 feet from structures and 500 feet from any forest slash. Clear the area around the burn pile of any flammable debris. Keep firefighting equipment handy - a connected water hose or at least five gallons of water and a shovel should be nearby. Don't burn if it's too windy to burn - if trees are swaying, flags are extended, or waves appear on open water. Be prepared to extinguish the fire if it becomes a nuisance.

The fire causes in forest due high temperature in forest in summer and due to friction between leaves and tree it causes a dreadful fire.
One can control it by decreasing the number of dry trees leaves by locals. I if any how fire caused fire can be controlled by helicopter water sprayer.
