hey dude,

The formula is (x-y)³=x³-3x²y+3xy²-y³. You convert it to (x-y)³=x³-3xy(x-y)-y³ for an illustration. ...You take the drawing of the formula (x+y)³=x³+3x²y+3xy²+y³ from above and replace a by the difference x-y. Then the edges are (x-y)+y with different combinations (on the left).

or

(x - y) 3 = x3 - 3x2y + 3xy2-y3

Given,

The expression (x-y)³ is given.

To find,

The formula of (x-y)³

Solution,

The formula of (x-y)³ is  x³-y³-3x²y +3xy².

(x-y)³= (x-y)² (x-y)

       = (x²+y²-2xy)(x-y)                  [(a-b)² = a²+b²-2ab]

       = (x³-x²y+y²x-y³-2x²y+2xy²)

        =( x³-y³-3x³y+3xy²)

Hence, the formula of (x-y)³ is x³-y³-3x³y+3xy².
