Formula unit mass is the sum of the atomic masses of all atoms present in a formula unit of a compound.

It is calculated by adding the atomic masses of all the atoms present in one formula unit.

difference between molecular mass and formula mass is that the formula mass of a molecule of a compound is the sum of atomic weights of the atoms in its emperical formula while molar mass is the mass of 1 gram mole of substance.
