what is fossa ovalis? how is it related to foramen ovale?

foramen ovale is a hole in b/w right and left atria in embryonic stage and fossa ovalis is the depression marked in that place where foramen ovale was present in embryonic stage! hope my answer helps!

Foramen ovale is an oval opening in the interatrial septum of the foetal heart representing the fossa ovalis which lies as a depression on the right side of interatrial septum
