Free fall can be termed as any motion of a body where no other forces are acting upon it and gravity is the only force acting upon it with the velocity of the body always changing with respect to time.
Satellites move in a particular orbit and an orbiting satellite is in free fall as without the earth's gravity the satellite would have moved in a constant velocity in a straight line.
