✦✧ANSWER✦✧

In a majority of flowering plants, one of the megaspore is functional while the other three degenerate. Three repeated mitotic divisions of the functional megaspore results in the formation of seven-celled or eight-nucleate embryo sac. Six of the eight nuclei are organized at the two poles.

Free nuclear division is a mitotic division of nucleus which is not followed by cytokinesis. In angiosperms, free nuclear division occurs during endosperm formation. Hence, the endosperm is called as liquid endosperm as cell wall is not formed after mitotic division. It is seen in coconut.

Thus, the correct answer is 'Endosperm formation.'
