Explanation:

Froth flotation is a process for selectively separating hydrophobic materials from hydrophilic. This is used in mineral processing, paper recycling and waste-water treatment industries. ... The development of froth flotation has improved the recovery of valuable minerals, such as copper- and lead-bearing minerals.

A separation process is a method that converts a mixture or solution of chemical substances into two or more distinct product mixtures. ... Separations exploit differences in chemical properties or physical properties (such as size, shape, mass, density, or chemical affinity) between the constituents of a mixture.

What is forth-floatation and chemical separation processes?

having trouble with your answer?

here it is....!!

____________________________________________

Forth-floatation process :

In order to separate the gangue(impurities) from the sulphide ores(like ZnS,CuS) air is blown through the mixture of ore, water and oil. Metal sulphides come on the top with forth and gangue settles down at the bottom.

Chemical separation process :

It is based on the difference between the chemical properties of the gangue and the ore.

Example : Bauxite ore (Al2O3.2H2O) is enriched by Bayer's process.
