So here it goes...
First thing first Bike or a motorcycle is defined as a mechanical machine that consists of moving metal parts and fluids which when are made to move in a sync produce motion.
Now we need to control this motion according to our needs(as in when we need to move or when we need to stop)
For the above mentioned functions to be performed by the rider who rides it accelerator, brake, clutch and gears are used.
Now lets explains their function one by one.
Accelerator as the name suggests is used to accelerate(increase the speed) the bike
Brake in contrast is used to decelerate (decrease the speed) the bike.
Gear is a mechanism used in bikes to increase efficiency and stability of bike.... It allows the rider to carefully channelise power produced by the engine to the drivetrain according to speed of the bike.
And finally clutch is used to smoothly shift between different gears according to the speed without causing damage to the teeth of gear disks.
