Hi friend here is your answer

#######################

Genetic manipulation is, in essence, a process done to manipulate the genome of an organism in order to produce desired traits. In the past, this was achieved by selective breeding.

Genetic manipulation helps in obtaining desirable agronomic characters liked Dwarfness in cereals and tallness and profuse branching in fodder crops.

Hey! Here's your answer!

Genetic manipulation or GMO (GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS) is the transfer of DNA of one organism into the other desired organism. It is mostly done in crop plants for it's protection against pests. When gmo crop is planted, there is no need to spray pesticides. For ex-Bt. Corn, Bt. Potato

PS- BT STANDS FOR BACILLUS THIRUNGENSIS (CRY PROTEIN)

Hope it helps!!^_^
