Some seeds are genetically modified to meet certain requirements or so that they can withstand the environmental conditions of a new place.The crops of such seeds are known as genetically modified crops...

Here this your answer, Genetically modified crops are plants used in agriculture, the DNA of which has been modified using genetic engineering techniques. In most cases , the aim is to introduce a new trait to the plant which does not occer naturally in the species.In 2015 26 pland are genetically modified.
