Answer:

Globalisation is a global phenomenon of the movement of capital, ideas, goods and people across borders.

  • It is the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected as a result of massively increased trade and cultural exchange.
  • It has increased the production of goods and services.
  • It got its impetus from the technological advancement in the modern times.

Like every coin has two sides, globalisation has two sides too.

  • Positive side.
  • Negative side.

Critics oppose globalisation for its hand in withdrawal of state from important functions, degradation of indigenous values and ethics, and increased competition and pressure to domestic producers.

Supporters of globalisation claim that it has led to increased array of choices before people to choose from and resulted in the improvement of quality of products.

Thus, as a conclusion we can state that globalisation though opposed by many is indispensable in the contemporary world.

Hope it helps!
