Answer:

“Godi” is a Hindi term that means lap. So Godi Media is the term used for the journalists or media houses/channels who speak in favor of the ruling party or a government. These media houses then propagate their ideas and ideologies and they have a partial representation of the facts. These media channels are sometimes referred to as showing news while sitting on the lap of political parties or governments. This, in short, means that the news channels will never show the true and fair view, and instead, telecast what is been told by the government/politicians.

Godi Media was popularized by NDTV journalist and editor Ravish Kumar. He also said that the other news channels are nothing but running shows, prime time, and debates in accordance with the ruling government.
