220 millions of years ago all continents were attached to together. It was a supercontinent which is known as pangaea. Later due to movement of plates it was seperated into two continents which in between the continents located the tethys sea. Those two continents are Laurensia and Gondwana lands. Laurensia(present North America, Greenland, and all of Eurasia north of Indian subcontinent) and Gondwana( present South america, africa, madagascar, India, Arabia, Malaysia, East indies, australia and antarctica).

Hope it was helpful
