Some of us have personal experience –very personal experience – with childhood sexual abuse. Which makes it harder to talk about but makes it even more important to be open to sharing and learning from one another, too.
This post – as with all parenting posts in my “From the Mouths of Moms” series – brings moms together to learn from one another. Teach the child that no means no. Tell the child that they will not say no to touch Body Ports at any cost. Even if this happens to the child, they do not fear and shout for help. Tell them how many people will reach their voice to help them. Tell the child also that they look at the situation - understand and shout or play an alarm by reaching out safely. They can run faster than the wind....
