Each village or a group of village in same states of India has a gram panchayat

WHAT IS THIS?

this is merely a council of several ward members and a sarpanch.

WHAT IS WARD MEMBER?

each village is divided into certain small parts.this part is called ward and its representative is called ward member.

DO U KNOW?

gram panchayat works under the supervision of gram SABHA.
