Temperate grassland.

Sati was a practice which was used in ancient India. After a man dies,his wife will have to jump in the funeral pyre of her husband. Sati means 'virtuous women'. This act was considered brave. But then it was banned in 1829 by Raja Ram Mohan Roy.

Linguistics are the people who know and can speak various languages. William Jones was one such linguistic who was interested in the ancient Indian culture. He knew Sanskrit, French, German, Latin, English and Persian.
