Gravity is a force which tries to pull two objects toward each other. Anything which has mass also has a gravitational pull. The more massive an object is, the stronger its gravitational pull is. Earth's gravity is what keeps you on the ground and what causes objects to fall.

Answer

When we throw something up in the air, that material always comes back to earth. The force which pulls everything towards itself is called gravity or gravitational force. Issac Newton has discovered gravitational force. He was first to notice this force. He had got to know this from a apple which was fell from a tree. He thought in his mind that why did the apple fell down ? why it didn't stayed in the air ? Then the discovered gravity which pulled the apple towards itself. Gravity is like a magnet, the difference is that gravity can pull everything towards itself, but magnet can only pull iron towards it. The another example is :- Whenever we jump the earth pulls us towards itself with the force of gravity. Gravitational force is very important for us because it is gravity due to which we are able to stand on this earth. Without gravity it won't be possible. Also anything that has weight also has gravity. Gravity increases with more weight and it decreases with less weight.
