sin 40 = Cos 50

Now compare cos 40 and cos 50

As we know the greater the degree(angle)
the lesser cos value

So cos40>cos50
is this okay

i.e,cos40>sin60(cos50)

Using decimal values, sin 40 = 0.6428 and cos 40 = 0.7660.

Thus, cos 40 is greater than sin 40.

Logically analysis:-

Value of sin 0 to 90 degree ranges with an increase from 0 to 1, but cosine value from 0 to 90 degree decreases 1 to 0.

It means higher the angle, lower the value of cosine. But for sine higher the value of angle higher value of sine only 0 to 90-degree interval.

By converting cosine to sin, we know cos (90-x) = sin x

Thus, cos40 = sin50

Sin 50 value is greater than sin40 value.

Therefore, the cos40 value is larger than sin40 value.
