Green House Effect is the phenomenon caused by the presence of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere, such that the heat of the sun's rays is trapped to keep the earth warm.

When sun's radiations entre the earth...these increase the temperature of the earth. As these radiations we're unable to escape. This is known as Green House Effect..
