Greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane traps heat from suns radiations and prevents it to be reflected back outside of atmosphere. This is called greenhouse effect.

This gradually causes earth to be warmed up and temperature of earth rises. This is called global warming.

Both phenomenon toghether is causing great climatic changes on earth. Sea level is rising, Polar ice is melting, increased cyclones amd tornadoes etc..
