1) MODERN farming methods used in the green revolution have overused the natural resources base. All the nutrients in the soil are finished
2) soil fertility has been lost due to increased use of chemical fertilizers. The chemical have killed the bacteria which used to keep the soil fertile earlier
POSITIVE
1) Increase in production/yield
2) Advantage to farmers
3) Better land use by employing two and three crop pattern.
4) Better scientific method applied per requirement of farms.
5) New seed have been developed with better yield and disease fighting capability
