Green Revolution means that the cultivation of rice and wheat using high yielding variety of seeds.HYV seeds promised to produce much greater amounts of grain on a single plant. Apart from HYV seeds, irrigation, chemical fertilizers and pesticides were introduced in wheat and rice farming to enhance the production.
