What is ground wave communication? Explain why this mode cannot be used for long distance communication using high frequencies.

The degree of attenuation is mainly dependent on the frequency of the wave and is directly proportional to it. So, ground wave propagation is not suitable for high frequency as the losses are high. Ground wave propagation:The process of transmitting waves over the ground is called ground wave propagation.
