\star The loss of water in the form of water droplets from the margins of the leaves through a special tissue called hydathodes is known as Guttation.

\star This phenomenon occurs due to rate of transpiration is less than the rate of absorption by the plant.

\star Guttation usually occurs at night or early in the morning due to stomata of the leaves are closed and there is one scope for water leave from the leaf that is hydathodes.
