Heya,

Answer to your question is:-

HAEMOGLOBIN:-

♣ Haemoglobin is the iron-containing oxygen-transport metallo protein in the red blood cells of all vertebrates as well as the tissues of some invertebrates.

♣ The main function of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen from the lungs to the body tissues, and to exchange the oxygen for carbon dioxide, and then carry the carbon dioxide back to the lungs and where it is exchanged for oxygen.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU:-))

⇒ Red cells contain hemoglobin and it is the hemoglobin which permits them to transport oxygen and carbon dioxide .

⇒ Hemoglobin, aside from being a transport molecule, is a pigment. It gives the cells their red color and their name.

⇒ They are also called erythrocytes or, rarely today, red blood corpuscles.
