What is Haemolysis?

It is the total or incomplete destruction or Fred blood corpuscles with release of haemoglobin into plasma. Usually resulting into a well know disease called jaundice which as a yellowish tint to the skin and the white sclera of the eye balls.

haemolysis is the breaking down of red blood cells the ability of bacterial coloines to induce heamolysis when grown on blood agar is used to classify certain microorganisms
