According to the Indian All IndiaMuslim Personal Law Board, a man cannot remarry a woman after triple talaq unless she has already consummated her marriage with another man and then that new husband dies or divorces her. In this case the marriage (Nikah) of the woman with her new husband is called Nikah halala.

The concept of Halala or Tahleel is not part of Sharia or even mentioned in the Quran . One must understand that any understanding or interpretation of Law is not Law. A law may be interpreted or understood in different situations differently. Thus in the Islamic tradition , Fiqh (Jurisprudence) is the understating and interpretation of Sharia (lit Law). Any Fiqh is not Law.Coming to the concept of Halala or Tahleel . The Quran is free from this concept. However , our jurists maintain that when a marriage has been ended in which all rights of reconciliation after a divorce have been used up and the man and woman want to live as husband and wife again the woman has to marry another man and have coitus with him to be permissible (halal) for the previous man to remarry her. This process is called Tahleel or halala. Now the issue is that this process is done by means of conspiracy.
