Computer hardware includes the physical, tangible parts or components of a computer, such as the cabinet, central processing unit, monitor, keyboard, computer data storage, graphics card, sound card, speakers and motherboard. By contrast, software is instructions that can be stored and run by hardware.

Hardware is the physical part of the computer system and any other electronic device. We can only touch and feel them. Example of hardware devices are monitor , keyboard , cpu ( central processing unit ) and mouse and It also includes all the parts which are inside the computer such as hard disk derive, speakers etc. Computer hardware can be categorised as having either internal or external components.

This is sometime also called the machinery or the equipment of the computer.

Types of hardware :-

● PDP -11 cpu board.
● Von neumann architecture scheme .
