According to Haygen light behave like a wave according to him.

(1). Source is the centre of the disturbance from which wave ernerys & propagets in all the direction.

The locus of all the vibrating medium molucules which are in the same phase are called the wavelet / wave front. The shake of the wave front depends on the source. It may spherical , cylindrical or plane.
