Header: A header is an area that appears at the top of every page.
It includes text or graphics.

The steps to insert header are as follows:-
1. click the INSERT tab. In the Haeder and footer group,click the HEADER
2. A drop-down menu will appear showing various BUILT-IN HEADER option. select any built in header option.
3. The DESIGN tab will appear on the ribbon and the header area will appear in the document.
4. Type the desired information into the header.
5. When you are finished,click the 'close header and footer ' in the DESIGN tab or pres the ESC key.
After you close the header,it will still be visible,but it will be locked.


FOOTER:-
Footer is a text that appears at the bottom of every page. Like the header,it has its own,special area and contains special text.
you can similarly add insert footer as header but on clicking on FOOTER instead of HEADER
